Hear award-winning storyteller Nestor "the Boss" Gomez share about his early years in Guatemala, his journey to America, and the life he’s made since.

Laugh and be moved with award-winning storyteller Nestor "the Boss" Gomez. Nestor is a former undocumented immigrant, poet, published author, and winner of more than 80 Moth StorySLAMs. He will share heartfelt and humorous tales of his life in Guatemala, his journey to America at age 15, and the life he's made in America. This event will be held at Iron & Glass in Minooka.

About the library

Opened in 1981, the Channahon Library contains collections for adults, children, and teens; access to public computers, fax, and scanning; and a teen room.  It serves as the administrative headquarters of the library district.
