TRUSTEE ELECTION
Nominating petitions will be available for (3) six-year terms on the Three Rivers Public Library District Board of Trustees. The election will be held on April 6,
2027. Candidates must be registered voters and must reside within the library district. Packets may be picked up on or after August 25 at the library, 25207 W Channon Dr, Channahon or 109 N Wabena Ave, Minooka during library hours.
Channahon Library hours:
Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm
Friday 9am-6pm
Saturday 9am-3pm
Minooka Branch Hours:
Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm
Friday 10am-6pm
Saturday 10am-3pm
The first day to circulate nomination petitions is August 25. Petitions may be filed at the main libary in Channahon between 9am Monday, November
16 and Monday, November 23 at 5pm. Call Executive Library Director Lauren Offerman at 815-467-6200 x 303 for more information.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Library is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. The Board sets the mission of the library, secures adequate funding to accomplish the library's mission, determines library policies, hires the executive director, and advocates for the library. The Board consists of seven Trustees and has two committees: Finance and Building & Grounds. A Library Trustee must be a resident of the library district and serves a term of office of six years. They serve without compensation.

Meetings
Unless otherwise noted, the Board of Trustees meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 6pm at the Minooka Branch, excluding December. All meetings are open to the public.
