Chicago actors, writers, and theaters have given voice to iconic statues across the city of Chicago. Learn about the history of these talking statues and hear them tell their own stories.
Travel virtually with Beth Sair, retired educator & volunteer at the Chicago Architecture Center, as she explores the history and statues of Chicago. Sair will share the voices of Chicago's celebrated actors, scripted by Chicago writers and produced by Chicago theaters, as they bring to life the iconic statues that span Chicagoland. Hear history on Cloud Gate, the Bob Newhart Statue (told by Bob Newhart himself), the Helping Hands Jane Addams Memorial and more.
This presentation will be done virtually by Zoom. Please register for this program to be sent the login information and instructions for Zoom.
